The film will be followed by an engaging panel discussion with local stakeholders and decision makers to address how we can make real changes in accessibility, quality, and affordability of early education.

We’ll share updates, upcoming opportunities, and ways to stay involved in advocacy for children and families across the state. Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or new to the team, this is a space to connect, strategize, and take action together.

Our third of four workshops, “Media Engagement and Advocacy” covers the importance of media in advocacy. We will also share best practices for speaking with media, investing in relationships with reporters, and the difference and power of local and national media outlets.

December 6 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm EST

Advocates from across the Bayou State will convene to discuss what this challenging year has meant for kids and families, to learn new advocacy skills and to find ways to plug into our year-round advocacy efforts.

December 6 @ 10:00 am – 4:30 pm EST

Advocates will convene in Berea to hear from lawmakers, community leaders, and dynamic trainers as we work together to ensure every child in Kentucky has access to quality early learning and healthy meals.

December 10 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm EST

The last of our fall advocacy workshop series focuses on reaching and engaging lawmakers, getting them on record on our issues to ultimately make sure we hold them accountable. We will learn to research lawmakers and amplify our actions when engaging with lawmakers, so constituents know where state officials stand, and we can follow up on campaign promises.
