Ending Preventable Deaths

Since 1990, the mortality rates for children under 5 has been reduced by more than half.

But there is still much more work to do.

Every day, 15,000 children around the world under age 5 die from preventable causes
such as pneumonia, dehydration and diarrhea.

Additionally, 800 women are dying every day from complications from
pregnancy and childbirth.

What We’re Doing

Through a combination of government relations, communications and grassroots mobilization,
we build relationships with the public and policymakers for effective policies and legislation that
benefit mothers and children around the world.

We empower our grassroots network of more than 250,000 advocates to raise their voices
and lobby their Congress to invest in maternal and child global health and pass the Reach Act
to save the lives of moms and kids.

By joining together, we become a force that turns advocacy into policy wins for kids.
