90% of brain development happens by age 5 — which makes early education essential. SCAN is closing the gap by supporting policies that create affordable, accessible learning opportunities. We also advocate for child care workers, ensuring they’re well-trained and fairly paid.
Invest in Head Start

For 60 years, Head Start has been a critical lifeline for families across the United States, giving over 750,000 children a chance to thrive as learners AND in life.
Send a strong message to Kentucky state lawmakers urging them to invest in early childhood education and prioritize child hunger prevention so Kentucky’s kids and families can thrive.
Let’s send a strong message to Tennessee state lawmakers urging them to invest in early childhood education so kids and families can thrive.
South Carolina kids need our help to address barriers to nutritious food, and early care providers need our help to support increased tax credit incentives to allow them to receive more tax money back to remain in the field!
